Shake-Shake FC Club History and Legacy

Founded on a chilly April evening in 1990 at Almont Park in Mattapan, Massachusetts, Shake-Shake FC began as a dream shared by a group of friends united by their love for soccer. What started as weekly scrimmages soon evolved into a competitive force, fueled by the vision of Ronnie Firmin and a roster of elite players, many with Caribbean roots and professional backgrounds. In their debut year, Shake-Shake entered the Boston Soccer League (BSL) and claimed the championship, marking the beginning of a storied legacy.

Over the years, Shake-Shake has celebrated countless victories, from back-to-back undefeated seasons in the late '90s to thrilling championship wins, including a dramatic 6-5 penalty shootout in 2002. Beyond the pitch, the club has made a lasting impact on the community. In 1997, the Mattapan Youth Soccer Club was founded by a Shake-Shake player, creating opportunities for local youth to learn discipline, respect, and ambition through soccer.
